Not sure what I was thinking today! I started the day off by running on the mill before going to Kelly's crazy ass cardio sculpt class, where she did awesome legs. I felt great!!!!! Tons of energy & just all around AWESOME! I'm guessing I only got about a 1.75 miles in bc I had to get off to go help some1 with something. THEN, I was off to cardio sculpt. Left feeling great & I even had the thought to maybe stay for kickboxing, but then remembered that I had the baby with me, so I did not want to push my luck. Went home & was starving so I ate 2 chicken tacos for lunch & then headed back to the gym to RUN with Kelly!
My legs were now sore from working so hard in the a.m. & my belly was blech from eating so fast. However, I did manage to get in 2 miles in 20 minutes. I know it was a short run, but that was all I could manage. My belly just was not happy with me. I did a couple of 1-2 minute sprints & then we went off to go a little bit weights.
Hoping to get a run in tomorrow sometime. It's eitehr gonna have to be EARLY, like before church or in the evening. We'll see....
Schedule for the week
Monday~ teach step @ 630
Tuesday~teach step from 10-1030 & 715-815
Wednesday~teach step 10-11
Thursday~ teach bodyflex 10-11
Friday~hopefully sports conditioning.
Trying to figue out where my runs are fitting in here. Hopefully I will be able to fit in 1 or 2 early morning runs w/Melissa & maybe an evening one.

Fallen behind
I have definently fallen behind in the running blog thang:) Don't know why really, it was supposed to be here to help hold me accountable. Don't know what happened, but I am gonna try to be better about this.
I'll just start with this week, bc who really wants to back track????
I went to the gym Monday after I deposited everyone to their destination for the 1st day of school. Got on the mill and after a mile in I thought I was gonna hurl. Not from running, but I was sooooo nervous for my babies on their 1st day. Especially Noah since it was his 1st day of pre-school EVER. I did like 2.3 miles in pretty decent time. I was at a 10 minute pace & happy with that. But bailed after my 2.3. Then asked myself WTH!!!!
However, the week before I was VERY EXCITED! I hit a good spot in my running. Went to go run on the mill & did my 5k in 32 minutes & that was with a 4 minute warm up. WHOOP WHOOP! I was so excited. As soon as I was done , like a dork I texted Josh & then once I got in the car HAD 2 call Christy. Very good day for me.
Hoping to get a friday & saturday run in this weekend. I WILL fit 2 days in somewhere.
Miss training with Christy & the girls greatly. Miss the friendship & encouragement, but every1's lives are so hectic & it's only fair that we have our own training schedules:)

It's all good
So, I totally forgot to blog about the last run so I'll briefly catch you up. I ran w/Christy, Teresa, Ryan , & Jill. We did a 5k & it was not great...not terrible, but not great. My mind was playing games w/me. It's all good. So, tonight I am thankful for friends who tell me to get my butt out there even when I DO NOT want to. Thank you Kelly & Melissa!!!!!!! I think I had already had it in my mind that I wasn't running b/c Christy sadi she was gonna take Sunday off, but thank god that these girls know how to get my butt off the couch! Anywho, we ran 3.9 & it was all good. It was a medium pace for us. Poor Melissa hadn't run in a month & just wanted to go. Had to remind her to slow down a little bit. I think she's gonna smoke us all;0) So, not much to gab about tonight. we got through it w/ a lot of complaining, but nonetheless good friendship....Next training run probably won't be til Thursday, I have a busy week this week.I teach basic step Monday night.Tuesday a.m. I teach spin & @ night I teach in-line step.Wednesday a/m/ I teach Step 1.Thursday morning I teach bodyflex.Sooooo.......like I sadi busy week, & that doesn't even include other obligations or having a life. ~~*~~~If you can't bring it go home!!!!!!!!

Trying to find where I stand
Today was a good day....I am right around the corner from OFFICIALLY training for the Race & I'm just trying to find out where I stand. I am ever so thankful for the good friends that I have in this b/c in the long run, they are what gets me through it.It was just Christy, Kelly, & I tonight. We did really well. I mean Christy could so blow us out if the water, but she sticks through it & she is sucha good trainer & great motivator. The three of us did the first 2.7 at a slow-moderate pace walking every few minutes. At this pace I could have definently run the full 5K non-stop. Then we waved bye to Kelly & Christy wanted me to pick up the pace a little bit. So, I started to set the pace, which was a mistake. I have a tendancy to set the pace way faster than it needs to be & then exhaust myself. I think I am going to invest in a nice watch that will help me w/this. At any rate, I couldn't run the last 1.35 or whatever it is fully. I really need to push myself. & I will. What did I say in my first blog??? If you can't bring it go home!!!!!!!! I need to stick to that. I know I can do this & I will!!!! So, all in all I had a good night. My training this week was a little wishy washy, but that's ok. I'm still getting it in.

Had good thoughts going in....
Here is where my journey starts. This is going to be a good but hard training, but I know I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! I think my saying for this training is going to be, "IF YOU CAN'T BRING IT, GO HOME!" I am currently training for Race 4 the Cure in Tampa, FL on October 3rd. I ran this race last year & I thought I was going to die by the time I was finished. NOT because I was exhausted, but because I had a SERIOUS case of PLantar Fasciaitus & heel spurs. It was so bad I could not walk by the end of the night. It got better over the course of about 2 months, but I am no where near 100%. I have done about 4 races this year & have faired ok. Two of them I ran w/my then 7year old daughter, Taylor. The last one was IRONGIRL. I think i did ok for that race...I finished in 34 minutes, which I thought wasn't terrible since we had to go up & down the AWFUL Clearwater bridge not once, but TWICE!!!!! Not only that I did not train for that race at all. Just got out there & did it. Stupid I know.I have an AWESOME group of friends who are very encouraging & running as well. A few of them are well seasoned runners & a few are just getting started, so there is a good mix. So far, our group consists of myself, Christy, Teresa, Barb, Shannon (who will always be there in spirit), Kelly, Melissa, Christie, & my soon-to-be sis in law Jillian. It's a big group, but they are GREAT!!! It's so nice because everyone brings something different to the table. They are funny, witty, encouraging, kind, awesome, open-minded, good-hearted, some say just what's on their mind & say it like it is (yes, I fall into that category), & CRAZY!!!!!!!!! It's a great group of girls to be with & I am just grateful to have them all.The goal is to be able to run the Race 4 the Cure in 30 minutes. You would think that would be easy to shave 4 minutes off my IRONGIRL time, but we'll see. No, I take that back. I WILL, because IF YOU CAN"T BRING IT, GO HOME!!!!!!!!! I just need to have a good mindset & fit one more day of running in.OK....so I had good thoughts on the drive over to Christy's tonight. Ihad eaten dinner early enough, I was really gonna push myself & stick it out & then it happened. Shannon dropped the bomb that TONIGHT was going to be her LAST RUN!!!!!!!!!! She is leaving tomorrow!!!!! I thought the girl was just being a pain, but HELL NO she was dead serious. So we waited for every1 to get there & took a before race pic & she lost it. So ya know what happened?? You got it I lost it! Running time was supposed to be somewhere around 8 & I don't think we started til 815-830ish. So we started the run. Pace started good & I was feeling good. We got just about to mile 1 & I had to walk. What a freakin wimp. But I promise it was just short walk. This went on for the other 2.2 miles. The pace we running was a faster pace than what I had been running at before which was good, but man it was kicking my big ol'butt. At the last mile the trainer in Shannon came out.....THANK GOD! That is what I need. She was pushing me & talking me through it...& damn as I'm typing this I'm getting emotional. I don't know what I'm gonna do without her crazy ass. Anyways, I felt like I was slowing the pace down for everyone else tonight, but I know that will change. I will be able to keep up with these awesome girls someday!
